The UIC School of Public Health will be hosting its inaugural Daniel Swartzman Public Health Ethics Lecture on October 4, 2017. This event is free and open to the public.
Named in honor of Professor Swartzman for his exceptional career promoting social justice, this endowed lecture series ensures that the area of public health ethics will forever be a part of the UIC School of Public Health’s efforts to educate tomorrow’s best and brightest leaders.
The evening’s keynote speaker is Dr. Lisa M. Lee, an epidemiologist and public health ethicist. Dr. Lee is the founding Chair of the APHA Ethics Section and serviced as Executive Director of President Obama’s Bioethics Commission.
