The University of Florida department of epidemiology at the UF College of Public Health and Health Professions and the UF College of Medicine will host Dr. James Anthony speaking on “Drugs and the Human Environment” on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 4 p.m. EST. Dr. Anthony is a professor in the department of epidemiology and biostatistics at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine, and director of the NIDA Drug Dependence Epidemiology Training Program. His research accomplishments appear in more than 300 published articles and books, and have been recognized in awards and honors, including designation as a “highly influential” contributor to the research literature of “psychology/psychiatry” and “general social sciences,” based on epidemiological studies of neuropsychiatric and other behavioral disturbances.
