University of Florida’s HealthStreet Hosts National Conversation on Healthy Aging

HealthStreet, a community engagement program at the University of Florida, is hosting a free national Our Community, Our Health town hall event on Tuesday, January 22 from 6 to 7 p.m. EST entitled “Healthy Aging: Evidenced-Based Lifestyle Interventions.” Our Community, Our Health is a series of conversations between researchers and community members from across the country.

The event can be viewed January 22 via livestream.

HealthStreet is supported by the UF College of Public Health and Health Professions, the UF College of Medicine and the UF Clinical and Translational Science Institute.

Join scientists as they discuss healthy aging and how exercise and nutritional interventions can transform the aging process, including questions such as:

  • Can a keto diet reverse metabolic syndrome?
  • What is the minimum amount of exercise I need to see positive results?
  • How can I increase my willpower and stick to my health resolutions after the New Year?
