UTHealth: Will Host America Statistical Association’s StatsFest 2019

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health will host StatsFest 2019, a national conference dedicated to encouraging undergraduate students from historically underrepresented groups to consider careers and graduate studies in the statistical sciences presented by the American Statistical Association’s Committee on Minorities in Statistics.

This one-day conference will feature presentations and panels from statistical professionals, academic leaders and graduate students to help attendees better understand the opportunities for success in this field.

StatsFest is an ongoing event established by the American Statistical Association through its Committee on Minorities in Statistics, a committee with the mission of encouraging research efforts to develop, evaluate, and implement policies and interventions to improve the condition of minority populations in the U.S.
