Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) Accepting Applications for Class of 2015-2016

The Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine® program is now accepting applications for its 2015-2016 class through an online application process. Applications are due January 15, 2015.  ELAM® a core unit of the Center for Executive Leadership in Academics, housed in Drexel University College of Medicine’s Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership, is dedicated to preparing senior women faculty, at the associate professor or higher level, who want to assume higher levels of responsibility within their institution to advance to positions of leadership and in turn strengthen her institution’s capacity for innovation.

ELAM’s curriculum advances knowledge and skills in strategic finance, personal and professional leadership effectiveness, community-building, and academic organizational dynamics by applying readings and classroom instruction to leadership work with senior mentors in each of the sponsoring organizations. Upon graduation, each ELAM fellow becomes part of an international network of alumnae who continue to support each other and their organizations.
