The Community Colleges and Public Health (CC&PH) Expert Panel, convened by the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) under the umbrella of the Framing the Future Task Force, and supported by the League for Innovation in the Community College (The League), completed its work this week. The ASPPH board approved the final report.
This comprehensive report includes the Phase 1 interim report from 2013, which examines education for public health within community colleges, laying out a set of foundational and consensus statements, and the Phase 2 report, which offers prototype curricular models for possible associate degree and certificate programs in public health and related fields.
Many thanks go to the panel co-chairs, Drs. Richard Riegelman (GW) and Cynthia Wilson (The League), for leading the panel, the panel members, and to the many academic and practice partners who contributed to and vetted drafts.
Phase 2 of the project was supported by a grant awarded under a cooperative agreement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) through the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH).
