Ms. Kelli Selwyn, who graduated earlier this month with a master’s in public health from the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions, received the International Emerging Scholar Award at the International Conference on Diversity in Organizations, Communities, and Nations held last month at the University of Toronto. She was recognized for her research on health care provider behaviors and inclusive practices to promote higher quality health care for LGBT patients and clients.

Additionally, Ms. Selwyn has received a Student Assembly Scholarship and a Public Health Education and Health Promotion Early Career Professionals Scholarship from the American Public Health Association to attend the APHA annual meeting in Atlanta. She will present on the results of her LGBT-Inclusive Obstetrics and Nursing Support Project.Tags: Florida
