Mr. Marko Predic, a 2016 graduate of the master’s program in epidemiology in the department of epidemiology at the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions and College of Medicine, recently won the 2017 New Investigator Abstract Award from the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology. The association recognizes abstracts that demonstrate exemplary scientific merit and are of high interest and relevance to the infection control community. Mr. Predic’s work, “Risk Factors for Carbapenem Resistant Enterobacteriaceae Infection,” will be published in the American Journal of Infection Control, and he will receive a stipend to attend the association’s annual conference in Portland, Oregon. Mr. Predic currently works as an infection control preventionist at UF Health Jacksonville.
