Florida Student Named to SOPHE’s 30 Under 30

Ms. Jessie King, a public health doctoral student in the department of behavioral science and community health at the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions, has been named to the Society for Public Health Education’s 30 Under 30. Part of SOPHE’s National Health Education Week celebration, 30 Under 30 recognizes health educators age 29 or younger who are making great strides in the field. Ms. King’s work is in tobacco prevention and establishing school and community programs for youth. Her mentor is Dr. Jamie Pomeranz, an associate professor and associate chair of academic programs in the department of behavioral science and community health.
