Florida Students Selected as CDC Millennial Health Leaders Summit Delegates

University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions public health graduate students Dr. Helena Chapman and Ms. Cara McDonnell have been selected to participate in the 2016 Millennial Health Leaders Summit. Offered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Millennial Health Leaders Summit is designed to equip graduate students with knowledge and tools to eliminate health disparities.

The program brings together medical, public health and public policy graduate students for plenaries, workshops and case studies with experts in health equity practice. Dr. Chapman, a Ph.D. student in One Health in the department of environmental and global health, and Ms. McDonnell, a master’s student in public health, will travel to CDC headquarters in Atlanta at the end of March for two days of intensive training.
