The final two expert panels of the Framing the Future Task Force, the Population Health across All Professions Expert Panel and the Workforce Development Expert Panel, have prepared final draft reports on their respective topic areas for public comment. Input is welcome from all ASPPH members and vested partners through Monday, January 26, 2015. The Population Health across All Professions Expert Panel aims to recommend a vision and framework for professional education addressing population health in the education of clinical and nonclinical professionals. The panel has also reflected on the context of dual degree programs. The Workforce Development Expert Panel seeks to guide Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH)-accredited schools and programs of public health in most effectively meeting governmental public health agency training needs for improving employees’ job performance in support of the population’s health. Details on both panels may be found on the Framing the Future website.
ASPPH convenes the Framing the Future Task Force and is staffing the initiative towards the goal of delivering a comprehensive framework on education for public health in advance of the Welch-Rose report centennial in 2015.
Many thanks go to the panels’ leaders for their dedication to this effort:
The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) is an important collaborator in jointly staffing the Workforce Development expert panel.
