The Jiann Ping Hsu College of Public Health Student Association (PHSA) will be celebrating National Public Health 2016 from April 4 – April 7. On Monday, April 4 there will be a healthy snack bar in the lobby from 12-2 p.m. On Tuesday, April 5 PHSA will partner with the Wellness Center to host a Destress Hour in the lobby from 1-2 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to participate in relaxing activities such as adult coloring, creating stress balls, and nail painting. On Wednesday, April 6 the High Challenge Course will take place at the RAC from 4- 6 p.m. Students will have to sign up for this event, there is a maximum of 20 participants. Lastly, on Thursday, PHSA will partner with the Office of Alcohol and Other Drug programs for their ‘Eagles Get S.A.S.S.I. event. Students will be given the opportunity to complete a Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (S.A.S.S.I.) evaluation to determining their risk for substance abuse. This event will take place in the Russell Union Ballroom from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
