The Georgia State University School of Public Health will launch the Online Graduate Certificate of Public Health in flexible formats that are convenient for busy professionals: online, in-person, or a hybrid of both. The program provides the foundational knowledge to maintain, upgrade, or advance public health knowledge and skills or further career goals. The Online Graduate Certificate of Public Health program is also specifically designed and developed for students working in public health or professionals coming from a variety of backgrounds, including physicians, nurses, health educators, clinical research professionals, policy experts, and more.
The successful completion of the Online Graduate Certificate in Public Health is also a pathway to earning a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree. Students enrolled in the Online Graduate Certificate of Public Health program may take all five of the MPH foundational courses (or three foundational courses and two electives) taught in nationwide, CEPH-accredited Master of Public Health (MPH) degree programs* – allowing the student to acquire 16 semester hours of applicable course credit toward fulfilling the MPH degree requirements. View the MPH comparison table and learn more.
*Time limits and applicability restrictions may apply. Students may work with the Office of Academic Assistance and Career Services to confirm applicability and transfer credit. Approval of applicable courses is at the discretion of the department chair of the student’s home department and concentration — it is not guaranteed. All Georgia State University credits presented for the MPH degree must have been earned within six calendar years of the date of degree conferral.
