The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health (GW Milken Institute SPH) announced Dr. Robert Bonar, as the new director of the school’s residential Master of Health Administration (MHA) program. Dr. Bonar is a professor of health policy and management at Milken Institute SPH.
Dr. Bonar has 40 years of experience in healthcare management and leadership with a background in clinical experience and management. He received his Doctorate of Health Administration and Policy from the Medical University of South Carolina and his MS in Healthcare Administration from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining Milken Institute SPH, he served as CEO of Children’s Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota and CEO of Seton Family of Hospitals and Dell Children’s Medical Center.
The MHA program aims to train the next generation of leaders in the healthcare industry to improve health and health systems on a local, national and global scale. As the only school of public health located in Washington, DC, students are immersed in the nation’s health and policy management epicenter.
