Ms. Sara Rosenbaum, JD, the Harold and Jane Hirsh Professor of Health Law and Policy at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health (GW Milken Institute SPH), has been named one of the Top 10 most cited health law scholars by researchers at the Harvard Law School.
Based on citations in WestLaw’s highly regarded Journal and Law Review database between 2013-2017 for full-time tenured law professors currently active at 99 ABA-accredited law schools, Ms. Rosenbaum is the 10th most highly cited health scholar, up from her ranking of 15th in a list that the same group published in 2017 based on data from 2010-2014.
In a second list compiled by gathering citation counts from the Web of Science from the same period, Ms. Rosenbaum is the sixth most-cited health law scholar.
Ms. Rosenbaum has provided public service to six Presidential Administrations and nineteen Congresses. She is best known for her work on national health reform, Medicaid and private insurance, Medicaid managed care, health care access for medically underserved communities and populations, and civil rights and health care.
