The American Public Health Association’s Aging & Public Health Section has selected her manuscript, entitled “Work-family support and climate impact nursing home care quality: Findings from a mixed method study,” winner of the 2015 James Zimmer New Investigator Award. The award will be presented November 2 at APHA’s annual meeting in Chicago.

Dr. Okechukwu won “Best Junior Scholar Paper” for a similar paper at the VI International Conference of Work and Family held this summer in Barcelona, Spain.

She is a finalist for the 2015 Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award for Excellence in Work Family Research to be announced this fall by the Center for Families at Purdue University and the Boston College Center for Work & Family.
