Harvard Professor Wins ‘Nobel Prize of Water’

A Harvard School of Public Health visiting professor of environmental health who has made a career of tackling water insecurity challenges around the world will receive the Stockholm Water Prize, known informally as the “Nobel Prize of water.” Dr. John Briscoe, also visiting professor of environmental engineering at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, was selected by the Stockholm International Water Institute to receive the award. An expert in water policy and development issues, Dr. Briscoe also holds an appointment at the Harvard Kennedy School.
