Harvard’s Defeating Malaria: From the Genes to the Globe Initiative Leverages University-wide Expertise

Harvard will mark World Malaria Day with two student-run events funded by the Harvard Malaria Competition: the Miles Against Malaria 5K community walk/jog/run and Mob Malaria, an awareness-raising flash mob event during which participants will publicly perform ridiculous actions under the guidance of a pre-recorded audio file. The competition was funded by Harvard’s Defeating Malaria: From the Genes to the Globe, a cross-university initiative spearheaded by Harvard School of Public Health in collaboration with the Harvard Global Health Institute and in partnership with the United Nations Special Envoy for Malaria.
