HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau sponsors the Graduate Student Epidemiology Program (GSEP) to enhance students’ skills in data analysis and to provide assistance to state and local health agencies with data-related projects.
The GSEP offers graduate students a unique opportunity to apply their classroom skills to real-world data projects, and offers state and local agencies a valuable technical assistance resource as they work to enhance their epidemiologic capacity. Over the past 15 years, the GSEP has placed approximately 300 students from 44 schools of public health in 117 state and local health departments. We hope to continue this successful tradition in 2015.
Full descriptions can be found online http://gseprogram.org/view_internships.php. Students can apply online for up to three projects of interest by visiting the site http://www.gseprogram.org/applicant_signup.php. The last day for application submission is February 13 and applicants will be notified of their status in April. We ask that you publicize this opportunity among your students, particularly those students who have a strong interest in epidemiology and data analysis.
If you have any questions please feel free to call (202) 842-2000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. I thank you for your support of this important project.
