“Tackling Equity,” a new podcast series produced by the University of Iowa College of Public Health’s Midwestern Public Health Training Center (MPHTC), examines a broad range of topics connected to health equity. The 10-part series, part of the MPHTC’s Share Public Health podcast, covers the basics of health equity and provides concrete suggestions to advance equity in organizations and communities.
Featured guests include public health faculty experts, as well as other health equity leaders at the University of Iowa, state of Iowa, and national organizations. Episodes are dropping weekly beginning Jan. 7.
The Midwestern Public Health Training Center, one of ten regional public health training centers funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), covers a four-state region including Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. In addition to the University of Iowa College of Public Health, the center collaborates with community based training partners at the St. Louis University College of Public Health and Social Justice, Wichita State University, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center.Tags: Friday Letter Submission, Publish on January 17
