“Many states have adopted anti-bullying legislation in an effort to reduce bullying in schools,” according to Dr. Ramirez. “However, little is known about how schools translate legislation into anti-bullying policies and interventions. The purpose of this study is to evaluate implementation of anti-bullying legislation.”
Dr. Corinne Peek-Asa, University of Iowa professor of occupational and environmental health, Ms. Laura Schwab Reese, Dr. Erica L. Spies, and Ms. Angela Onwuachi-Willig, co-authored the abstract.
Dr. Ramirez will receive the award at the APHA Annual Meeting during the Law Section’s social hour on November 17.
