IU Bloomington Student Earns Society for Risk Analysis Student Award

This week, Ms. Qiran Chen, a PhD student at the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington, will receive the 2016 Dose-Response Specialty Group Student Award during the Society for Risk Analysis annual meeting in San Diego. Ms. Chen is working on a doctoral degree in environmental health at the school, and is advised by Dr. Kan Shao, an assistant professor of Environmental Health. She earned the student award for her abstract entitled A novel benchmark dose estimation approach for continuous endpoints.

Graduate students studying dose-response assessment are eligible for the Dose-Response Specialty Group Student Award by submitting an abstract for a presentation. This award shows peer recognition of the student’s scientific accomplishment, and provides the recipient with a fee waiver to attend the Society for Risk Analysis annual meeting.
