Ms. Kaci Hickox, an alumna of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, has joined Médecins Sans Frontières as an infection prevention and control advisor. In the position, which is based in Amsterdam, Ms. Hickox will work with staff in MSF’s Amsterdam office and in the field to develop and implement standard infection prevention activities.
Ms. Hickox will work on 23 projects in 12 countries that provide hospital care in resource-limited settings. One activity involves finalizing a hand-hygiene monitoring tool where data is entered by the field teams using an app that helps standardize hand-hygiene monitoring process.
Ms. Hickox received an MS from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and an MPH from the Bloomberg School in 2011.
