Ms. Jessica Ladd, an alumna of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, is a recipient of a 2018 Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship. Ladd, who received a Master of Public Health from the Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2011, is working to protect young women from sexual assault and sexual harassment through technology. She is founder and CEO of Callisto, developer of an app that allows women to report sexual assault and sexual harassment on college campuses and in the workplace. At Johns Hopkins, she was head of the Social Innovation Lab. The unrestricted funding from the Skoll Foundation will be paid over three years. The award was announced in advance of the 2018 Skoll World Forum which was held April 10 – 2013 in Oxford, England.
