Dr. Simon Ahtaridis, an alumnus of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, has been named chief medical officer of Holyoke Medical Center in Holyoke, Mass.
Dr. Ahtaridis received an MPH from the Bloomberg School in 2002, where he focused on health systems. He earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine.
Most recently Dr. Ahtaridis has been national clinical adviser-chief medical officer for Sound Advisory Services, where he oversaw the overall clinical performance of onsite and remote advisory services.
Earlier in his career Dr. Ahtaridis served as chief medical officer at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. He first joined Mercy’s staff in 2011 as chief of hospitalist services and was promoted to chief of medicine in 2014.
Dr. Ahtaridis has been an instructor in medicine, first at Harvard Medical School and most recently at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.Friday Letter Submission, Publish on December 13
