Maryland Project Supports Veterans’ Health by Training Network of Mental Health Providers

The Maryland Veterans Resilience Initiative (MaVRI), a project led by the University of Maryland School of Public Health in partnership with the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, is making sure that those who have served our country receive the health care they need and deserve. More than 28,000 Maryland veterans have returned home from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, and most have made a successful transition to civilian life.  But for some, the road home from war has included challenges unique to their military service.
