Mr. Peter Jacobson, professor of Health Law and Policy, received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Public Health Association (APHA) at the 2016 annual meeting in Denver.

This award is granted annually by the American Public Health Association’s Law Section to an individual who, over the course of his or her career, has made significant contributions to the field of public health law. The individual’s contributions should span at least two of the following areas: research, teaching and mentoring, practice and advocacy. To be eligible for this award, the winner must have completed his or her terminal degree more than 30 years earlier. Professor Jacobson was formally recognized at the APHA annual meeting in Denver on October 31.
