Michigan Shows Association between BPA and Cancer Development

Although the health effects of Bisphenol A (BPA) is a hot-button issue in public discourse, scientific research has not demonstrated a significant association between BPA and tumor development – until now. A new University of Michigan study is one of the first to demonstrate a link between BPA and cancer development. The research, led by Dr. Dana Dolinoy, the John G. Searle Assistant Professor of Environmental Health Sciences, found that liver tumor developed in 27 percent of mice exposed to BPA through their mothers during gestation and nursing.
