Two members of the University of Michigan School of Public Health community were named to the de Beaumont Foundation’s inaugural 40 Under 40 in Public Health list. They are among 40 rising stars in public health chosen by a panel of judges for their fresh perspectives, creative problem-solving, and innovative health solutions in communities across the country.
As deputy director for the Mid-States Region of the Network for Public Health Law, housed at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, Ms. Colleen Healy Boufides provides legal technical assistance to public health practitioners, leads innovative research projects, and supports and mentors students and new attorneys entering the public health field.
A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Public Health with a PhD in environmental epidemiology, Dr. Yi Wang is an assistant professor at Indiana University Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health. Rooted in his training in biomedical bench research, pharmacy, and public health statistics, Dr. Wang approaches healthcare issues through both individual and population lens.Friday Letter Submission
