Michigan Study: Misuse of Prescription Drugs Linked to Dating Violence among Urban Youth

A new study from the University of Michigan found a link between the misuse of prescription drugs and physical violence among dating partners. The study, authored by a number of public health faculty, examined misuse of prescription sedatives and opioids immediately preceding violent dating conflicts among high-risk urban youths. Data was collected from 575 participants in the Flint Youth Injury Study.
