Minnesota Associate Professor Wins Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award

University of Minnesota School of Public Health associate professor Dr. Michael Oakes won the 2015 Rosabeth Moss Kanter award for his article, “Changing Work and Work-Family Conflict Evidence from the Work, Family, and Health Network” in the American Sociological Review.

The international Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award, given by the Center for Families at Purdue University and the Boston College Center for Work & Family, raises the awareness of high quality work-family research among the scholar, consultant, and practitioner communities. Dr. Oakes’ article investigated deliberate organizational changes and their effects on work resources and the work-family interface, advancing understanding of the impact of social structures on individual lives.
