NBPHE Begins Job Task Analysis

The National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE), with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is preparing to start a job task analysis of the public health workforce. A job task analysis is a process that determines the knowledge and skills that are necessary to do a job or range of jobs. The job task analysis will be conducted to confirm that the CPH exam measures the competency of those seeking the CPH, but will also shed light on one of the questions the ASPPH Framing the Future Task Force has been trying to answer – what should formally educated public health professionals know when they enter the workforce?
