The National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE) is seeking nominations for item writers and item reviewers for the Certified in Public Health (CPH) examination. To learn more about the exam, click here.
Item-writers are needed to develop new areas in the following domain areas:
It is ideal that nominees have experience in writing objective test questions, though the NBPHE will accept nominees who are willing to learn. Online training will be made available to all item-writers. Each item writer will be asked to submit at least ten items approximately two months after the online training.
The NBPHE is considering changes to the content outline for the CPH exam and need volunteers from each of the CPH domain areas to review approximately 100 questions each and match them to a new outline. Reviewers will have online access to exam questions and will have approximately six weeks to complete this task. Public health professionals with strong knowledge of any of the domain areas below are encouraged to apply.
To self-nominate as an item-writer or item-reviewer, please complete this questionnaire no later than November 9.
