Three IPHAM faculty members representing two research centers received new or continued funding during the month of November. The Center for Community Health will advance their health promotion efforts with a local impact project in maternal health. Dr. Darius Tandon aims to improve outcomes for at-risk mothers, babies and infants throughout the state in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Human Services. The Center for Global Health carries forward their NIH-funded partnership to improve medical education in Nigeria with the University of Ibadan. Dr. Robert Murphy leads the medical education effort while Dr. Ann Ragin focuses on capacity building for neurological research. Whether across Chicago, across Illinois or across the globe, IPHAM researchers contribute to Northwestern Medicine’s mission of making an impact every day.
