NYMC and JHU Receive 2016 Delta Omega Award for Innovative Public Health Curriculum

The 2016 Delta Omega Award for Innovative Public Health Curriculum goes to Dr. David Moskowitz and Dr. Penny Liberatos, who submitted “Behavioral Sciences & Health Promotion Capstone” on behalf of the Delta Alpha Chapter of New York Medical College, School of Health Sciences and Practice, and Institute of Public Health.

The Alpha Chapter of Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health received second place “Certificate in Food Systems, the Environment and Public Health,” which was submitted by Ms. Pamela Berg, Dr. Robert Lawrence, Dr. Keeve Nachman, and Dr. Roni Neff . The Delta Omega Executive Committee would like to recognize the overall quality of submissions for this year’s awards.

Both submissions will be presented at the annual meeting of the national council and the Academic Public Health Caucus poster session during the 2016 APHA Annual Meeting in Denver, CO.  Summaries will also be posted on the Delta Omega website following the Delta Omega annual meeting.
