Oklahoma Finds Even Slightly Elevated Blood Pressure Negatively Impacts Heart Over Time

It turns out blood pressure does not have to be high enough to meet the clinical definition of hypertension to do damage to your cardiovascular system. While high blood pressure is a well-known risk factor for cardiovascular disease, newly published findings by researchers at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center offer new insights into the impact of even slightly elevated blood pressure over time on one's risk of developing heart disease.
