Dr. Jodi Lapidus of the Oregon Health & Science University/Portland State University School of Public Health has recently been elected to the American Statistical Association, along with 61 others nationwide. Dr. Lapidus joins two other ASA members in the new School, Drs. Motomi Mori and Dongseok Choi, as the most recent Oregon inductee. Dr. Lapidus is widely published, holds grants of her own, has won many awards for her teaching skills, and also leads the Biostatistics Design Program at Oregon Health and Science University. She provides leadership for a large group of biostatisticians in the new SPH, and is recognized for her creative problem solving abilities in biostatistics and in epidemiology. Well loved by students and faculty alike, Dr. Lapidus will be a valuable addition to the ranks of the ASA and will continue her leadership roles in Oregon and beyond.
