Pittsburgh: Marks 35 Years of Fighting HIV/AIDS

In remarkable video tribute, research timeline, and retrospective article,  the Pittsburgh Tribune Review reflects on the service of over 1,743 men who have participated in the nation’s longest-running human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) research project. In conjunction with Worlds AIDS Day observances, Dr. Charles Rinaldo, chair of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, and Dr. Linda Rose Frank, director of the MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center, share perspectives on over three decades leading one of four centers in the nationwide Multi-Center AIDS Cohort Study.
