CDC has posted the re-competition of the Prevention Research Centers opportunity to provide funding to academic research centers to participate in the network of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Research Centers (PRC Network). CDC anticipates making 20-30 awards (total costs of $750K for the first year and a total of $3.75 million over 5 years) for a total 5-year program cost of $75 million to $112.5 million. Eligible applicants are CEPH-accredited schools of public health and accredited schools of osteopathy and accredited schools of medicine that offer an ACGME accredited Preventive Medicine Residency program or are in the process of obtaining accreditation for a preventive medicine residency program. Key dates: 1) letter of intent due date: 05/25/2018; 2) application due date: 06/25/2018; and 3) estimated start date: 09/30/2019.
