1. In one sentence, what is public health to you?

Public health is the coming together of various disciplines to improve the health of various populations.

2. What inspired you to study public health?

Being able to reach entire communities.

3. What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

Being able to get involved with clinical trials and seeing how rigorous that research process is.

4. What is the one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were starting out in public health?

Research all the different fields and subfields of public health (for example, within epidemiology there is environmental epi, social epi, reproductive epi, etc).

5. What do you think is the biggest challenge that the public health field should be focusing on?

Harnessing the power of social media to reach out to younger audiences.
