In one sentence, what is public health to you?

Public health is almost everything around us, it is what keeps all of us healthy and well!

What inspired you to study public health?

My community and being an advocate for the underserved and at-risk population inspired me to pursue public health so I can be an agent of change and serve a purpose!

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

Being a graduate research assistant. I have made amazing connections, I am working on mastering skills in all realms of public health, and gaining experience serving Latino children and their families.

Believe in yourself and don’t take no for an answer!

What do you think is the biggest challenge that the public health field should be focusing on?

Currently, policy changes with the awareness of police brutality and how it has affected black and African American lives.
