Public health is the culmination of factors that affect the well-being of individuals at the population level.

2.       What inspired you to study public health?

I was inspired by my mother who works in healthcare and since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to work for the World Health Organization.

The most rewarding experience of my studies so far has been the opportunity to complete my practicum at an international agency that works heavily in program management in the WASH sector.

4.       What is the one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were starting out in public health?

Not every person you meet in public health will carry the same passion and share the same beliefs but you have to keep doing what you think (and the evidence says) is the right thing to improve health outcomes.

Public health should focus on sustainability.
