What inspired you to study public health?

I was inspired by HIV/AIDS knowledge and how it is stigmatized in my country. This made me want to change the concept.

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

The most rewarding experience was when I finished my planning and evaluating course paper. My paper was about a nutrition program done only on Latino men to prevent highlight and obesity. My best success in this paper is dealing with budgeting the money for my planned program. Math is not the best subject, however I really enjoyed organizing my budget for my program.

What is the one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were starting out in public health?

Reading is the number one rule for success. To write a successful paper, searching in different keywords makes writing easy.

What do you think is the biggest challenge that the public health field should be focusing on?

Nutrition and healthy lifestyle are the biggest challenges in the public health field. Obesity and high BMIs are a major problem all around the world for all ethnic and racial groups, and all ages. The cost and money that are used in nutrition programs are high and remains high.
