What inspired you to study public health?

I was inspired by my time working with adolescent survivors of human trafficking before attending Rollins School of Public health.

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

My most rewarding experience has been truly defining what I see myself doing as a future health professional and working towards those goals day in and day out.

What is the one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were starting out in public health?

Take care of yourself, and your mental health. Some of the things you will come across may feel disheartening and hard to digest.

What do you think is the biggest challenge that the public health field should be focusing on?

My interest lies in women and human rights, so naturally I believe we should be focusing on reducing violence against women so that they may be empowered and in turn contribute positively and effectively to their communities.
