1.       In one sentence, what is public health to you?

To me, working in public health is improving on better health outcomes for future generations.

2.       What inspired you to study public health?

I was inspired by the power in trends of data influencing.

3.       What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

The most rewarding experience has been presenting a cross analysis I worked on for 2 years at a research conference.

4.       What is the one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were starting out in public health?

Start researching early, shadow people that you admire in different careers, expose yourself to opportunities you wouldn’t think you would be interested in.

5.       What do you think is the biggest challenge that the public health field should be focusing on?

Public health should focus on environmental effects on health and disparities between groups.
