Public Health Reports: The Role of Law and Ethics in Recent Preparedness and Response for Vaccine-Preventable Illness

In a recent article in Public Health Reports, Dr. Ross Silverman of the Indiana University Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health assessed U.S. public health agencies’ legal authority to protect the public from vaccine-preventable illnesses. Recent vaccine-related agency, legislature, and court activity were reviewed. The results highlight how public health agencies can educate and collaborate with their local political leadership.
