Rutgers School of Public Health associate dean for academic affairs, Dr. Laura Liang, was one of sixty faculty members from Rutgers University to participate and earn a Certificate in Effective Instruction from the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE).
ACUE’s “Effective Teaching Practices” is an online course, which offers a comprehensive exploration of scientifically-vetted teaching methods. The course consists of twenty-five modules that are separated into five units of study: Designing an Effective Course and Class; Establishing a Productive Learning Environment; Using Active Learning Techniques; Promoting Higher Order Thinking; and Assessing to Inform Instruction and Promote Learning.
