The Rutgers School of Public Health – Center for Public Health Workforce Development has been awarded the Public Health Partner of the Year, from the New Jersey Association of Public Health Nurse Administrators (NJAPHNA), in recognition of its service to the public health nurses in New Jersey.

Ms. Colleen McKay Wharton, program manager of the Center for Public Health Workforce Development, accepted the award from NJAPHNA on behalf of the Center.
“By working as partners, we can better understand the nurses’ training needs, and provide education that is most relevant to their daily work,” says Ms. Wharton. “We are delighted that that members find value in these trainings, and look forward to many more collaborations!”
The Center for Public Health Workforce Development provides continuing education to support and strengthen the region’s public health workforce.
