Dr. Cristine D. Delnevo, professor and chair of the department of health education and behavioral science and director of the Center for Tobacco Studies of the Rutgers School of Public Health, has been named as the interim dean of the school.
Dr. Brian L. Strom, chancellor of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, announced the appointment in March. “We are grateful to Dr. Delnevo for her willingness to serve as interim dean,” Dr. Strom said. “She has been with the school for over 25 years and is a widely regarded expert in tobacco control and in the emerging field of tobacco product regulatory science. Her enthusiasm, experience, motivation, and leadership skills will continue to move the school forward during this interim period.”
A national search for a permanent dean has been initiated.
