SOPHAS Site Visits

On Monday, July 20, George Mason University Master of Public Health Program hosted a SOPHAS site visit. Ms. Allison Foster, ASPPH deputy executive director, and Mr. Guy Piotrowski, coordinator for applications and admissions University of Minnesota School of Public Health, presented about participating in SOPHAS. Attending from Charles Drew were Ms. Whitney Gaston, director of admissions and advising, College of Health and Human Services, Ms. Jade Perez, director of graduate admissions, Office of Admissions, Dr. Laura Poms, term assistant professor and undergraduate coordinator, department of global and community health,  Dr. Thomas Prohaska, professor and dean, College of Health and Human Services , Ms. Jade Kelly Stevens, office of student affairs, College of Health and Human Services, Ms. Susan Swett, assistant dean of student affairs, College of Health and Human Services, Dr. Robert M. Weiler, professor and chair, department of global and community health and associate director, Public Health Institute, Dr. Ali Weinstein, associate professor and graduate coordinator, department of global and community health, and Ms. Kathy Zimmerman, director of technology, Office of Admissions.

On Monday, July 27, Loyola University Chicago MPH Program also hosted a SOPHAS site visit. Ms. Allison Foster and Mr. Guy Piotrowski presented about participating in SOPHAS. Attending the meeting were Ms. Ilze Berzina-Galbreath, MPH program coordinator, Mr. Ronald Martin, director of enrollment systems, research and reporting, Mr. Timothy Heuer, associate director of graduate and professional enrollment, Dr. Ruth Kafensztok, assistant professor, department of public health sciences, Dr. Justin Harbison, assistant professor, department of public health sciences, and Dr. Amy Luke, professor and vice chair, department of public health sciences.

The next SOPHAS admissions cycle will open on August 18. A number of new programs are expected to join the service at that time.
